We are a small gaming community with a focus on open-source games and software, hosting public game servers which anyone can join and enjoy. The server is located in Gotherburg, Sweden.

The game that The Gaming Den originated from, Sonic Robo Blast 2 is a platformer game based on the DOOM engine. While the server originally started as a Co-op server, this later on drifted off as a Hangout server due to a change of interest as well as player demand, as Hangout servers tend to be quite popular amongs SRB2 players.

Currently under development, Endless Mines will be a game on Minetest where the goal is to mine ores underground and get back up again, trying to survive from enemies as you do. Ores you manage to get up to the surface can be cashed in to get credits which can be used to buy better pickaxes and armor, allowing you to go deeper underground and survive stronger enemies.

The first chat created for The Gaming Den, originally used as a service to be able to get in contact with moderators easily. After the chat got bridged to in-game, though, it's become more of a general-purpose chat room for anyone to join.

Being possibly the first Matrix room to have in-game chat bridged to Matrix, this is where the large part of the community is present. Note that thanks to the bridge, you can still talk to Matrix users from IRC if that is what you prefer to use.
